回台请长假英文信范本 从申请独立学习到回复旷课信

请假信什么时候寄 寄给谁？

• 订机票前：寄第 5 封（先问规定），拿到学校的书面答复再订。
• 出发前 2～3 周：寄第 1 封或第 2 封。加州学区常见的规定是短期 independent study 至少提前 5 个上课日申请，各学区不同。
• 收件人：班主任（中学寄给每科老师，或寄给 counselor 请他转）；副本给 attendance office。地址在学校网站的 Staff Directory 或 Attendance 页。
• 收到旷课信：在信上写的期限内寄第 3 封。
• 回校前 1～2 天：寄第 4 封。

第 1 封：一周内的请假信

适合 1～2 个上课日、或学校说天数太短不能办 independent study 的情况。在加州，探亲与旅游不在 Education Code §48205 的正当缺席理由里，这几天大多会记成缺席；信的重点是事先告知、把功课安排好。

• Subject: Absence notice – [Student name], Grade [X], [dates]
• Dear [Teacher name],
• I am writing to let you know that [Student name] will be absent from [date] to [date] because our family will be traveling to Taiwan to visit relatives. [He/She/They] will return to school on [date].
• Could you let us know which assignments [Student name] should complete while away, and how to turn them in? We want to make sure [he/she/they] keeps up with the class.
• Please let me know if the school needs any form from us. Thank you for your help.
• Sincerely, [Parent name], parent of [Student name], [phone]
• 中文说明：第一段说日期与原因、回校日；第二段要作业；第三段问要不要填表。“visit relatives”照实写就好，不用编造理由。

第 2 封：申请 independent study（三天以上）

加州 Education Code §51747 允许 15 个上课日以内的短期 independent study：签书面合约、孩子在外地完成老师指定的作业，作业交齐，那几天就算出席。超过 15 天的长期方案另有同步课程的要求，先问学区能不能用在出国。最低天数、申请期限、学期末不受理的日子都由学区自订。

• Subject: Request for short-term independent study – [Student name], [dates]

• Our family will be in Taiwan from [date] to [date], which is [number] school days. We would like to request a short-term independent study contract for [Student name] for this period, so that [he/she/they] can complete schoolwork while away.
• Could you please send us the application form and let us know the deadline for submitting it? We are happy to meet with the teacher to sign the contract before we leave.

• 中文说明：写明上课日数（不是日历天）；主动说能上网交作业；请对方告诉你表格与期限。合约要家长、学生、老师签名，通常还要校长核准。

第 3 封：收到旷课信后的回复

加州一学年内无故缺席 3 整天（或迟到、中途离开超过 30 分钟累计 3 次），依 Education Code §48260 就算 truant，学校依法要寄通知。收到旷课信（truancy letter）不代表已被处罚，回复的目的是留记录、说明情况、问下一步。

• 情况 A（有办 independent study）：[Student name] was on a short-term independent study contract during these dates, and all assignments were turned in on [date]. I have attached the signed contract. Could you please update [his/her/their] attendance record?
• 情况 B（没办）：These absences were due to a family trip to Taiwan. [Student name] returned on [date]. We understand the attendance requirements and would like to know how [he/she/they] can make up the missed work. We will plan future trips with the school in advance.

第 4 封：回校前的通知

• Subject: [Student name] returning on [date]
• Dear [Teacher name],
• We are back from Taiwan, and [Student name] will return to class on [date]. [He/She/They] has completed the assignments from the independent study contract and will bring them on the first day. / [He/She/They] will need some help catching up on the work missed.
• Please let me know if there is anything we should do at home to help [him/her/them] catch up. Thank you for your support while we were away.

• 中文说明：回校后几天登录家长系统，确认那几天记的是 independent study 或出席，不是无故缺席；记错就寄信请 attendance office 更正。

第 5 封：订机票前先问规定

要离开好几周、或孩子是用跨学区转学许可、磁性学校、特许学校抽签进来的，订机票前先问清楚。州法没有统一的取消注册天数，由学区决定。

• Subject: Question about an extended absence – [Student name], Grade [X]
• Dear [Attendance office],
• We are planning a family trip to Taiwan from about [date] to [date], which would be about [number] school days. Before we book our tickets, could you help us with three questions?
• 1. How would these absences be recorded?
• 2. Is there an independent study option for this length of time, and are there any dates when it is not available?
• 3. After how many days of absence would [Student name] be dropped from enrollment, and would [he/she/they] keep [his/her/their] seat at this school?
• We would appreciate a reply by email so we can keep it for our records. Thank you.

• 中文说明：三个问题一次问完，请对方用 email 回并存档。

附件清单

• 申请 independent study：学校的申请表、来回机票行程（显示出发与回程日期）。
• 回复旷课信：签好的 independent study 合约、交作业的记录（截屏或老师的确认信）。
• 因亲人生病或丧事回台：学校可能要证明文件，先问要什么；在加州，直系亲属丧礼属正当缺席理由，每次最多 5 天（§48205）。
• 所有往来信件：存成 PDF，放在同一个文件夹。

寄出前的检查

• 主旨有孩子的名字、年级、日期。
• 日期写成英文格式，例如 March 3, 2027，不写 3/3，避免跟日月顺序搞混。
• 天数写上课日（school days），不是日历天。
• 语气直接、有礼，不用道歉或解释太多。
• 留电话，并写明可以联系的时间（考虑人在台湾的时差）。

常见问题

• 问：回台探亲请假，在加州算正当缺席吗？答：不算。探亲与旅游不在 Education Code §48205 的正当缺席理由里，这几天大多会记成缺席；天数够的话可以申请短期 independent study，最低天数由学区订。
• 问：短期 independent study 最多可以请几天？答：15 个上课日以内。超过 15 天的长期方案另有同步课程的要求，先问学区能不能用在出国。
